Beverly and Melrose were taken from their mom at only 5 weeks old and sent to new homes. Thankfully, their new owners quickly realized this wasn't the right situation for either of them and, at only 6 weeks old, Paw Placement welcomed them. The girls immediately went to a foster home with balanced adult dogs to provide the guidance and socialization they should have received from mom. After ensuring they were healthy, they've also been socialized with other puppies, lots of people, and more adult dogs. These girls are happy, friendly, outgoing, affectionate and smart!
These girls are working on their crate and house training in their foster home and, with consistency and constant supervision, are doing very well. They enjoy playing with their doggie foster siblings, chomping on bones and antlers, chasing balls and toys in the yard, and cuddling with their humans. They are looking for an owned home with a yard, and experienced dog owners (they aren't a good fit for first time dog owners or rental homes of any type).
A note from foster mom: Melrose is opposite of her sister, Beverly, in a couple ways, the first being that she’s the smaller of the two sisters. She’s also more independent from her human companions and often finds herself chilling amongst the other dog in the pack. She’s also far more sassy than her sister, and will definitely need strong leadership to keep her in line. Don’t worry though, you could probably get this girl to do just about anything for a quick belly rub! That’s her kryptonite... when she starts getting a little wild, a tummy scratch is quick to subdue this “beast” !
Please note: socializing dogs, especially young dogs, is critical to their development. Puppies need to have positive experiences with new people, places, sounds, dogs on a WEEKLY basis to ensure they do not grow into insecure, fearful or even aggressive adult dogs. Please consider this when adopting during this pandemic. Socialization is currently more difficult, but it isn't any less important, so please be sure you can fulfill this need in a new dog before committing to adopt.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application. Because we are still understaffed due to COVID19, we will only be able to email those applicants that are approved to schedule a meet and greet. Thank you in advance for your understanding if you don't hear back from us regarding your application.
